Brett possesses a USCG Master 25 GRT & USCG OUPV Operator Near Coastal, with Sailing & Assistance Towing Endorsements. He also possesses American Sailing Association ratings 101, 103, 104 & Annapolis School of Seamanship Diesel I & II. Brett primarily boats in the Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, the Gulf Islands, and along the Sunshine Coast. In summer of 2024, he worked for Outer Island Excursions out of Skyline Marina in Anacortes, WA.
